Who cares about the Iron Bowl after that?
Seriously, who cares? To relieve some stress in our house after the loss, Justin and I went out shopping. We found him some shirts and a tie that were on sale because of Black Friday. Then we chose some new books to read. I knew what I wanted before I got in the store. Despite Bama's loss, Black Friday was a good way to end the chaotic week.

What's better than a man who helps with the chores?
Um, nothing? Today my hubby went grocery shopping for the week. I am truly thankful. Often times, the smallest things mean the most.
I got to take a night off and relax because he cooked dinner, too.

Soup and Sandwich... from the microwave
Frozen meals are not my favorite. Usually they aren't even an option.
Buuuut, I was tired when we went grocery shopping, and I certainly didn't feel like cooking once we got home, unloaded the trunk, and put up the groceries. Ugh.
So Justin spotted these in the freezer aisle. They were good; a pleasant surprise. I thought that maybe I was just tired and hungry (in which case anything would have been good) so we tried them again. Still good. In case you're interested, they are Stouffer's Corner Bistro Stuffed Melts and Soups®. We've found three varieties.

Grocery Surprise
My grandmother, Big Mama, called me to tell me my cousin would be moving to Tuscaloosa from Arkansas. She wouldn't be able to welcome him to his new home personally, so she asked me to go grocery shopping for him.I had a blast! These are just the non-perishable items. The fridge and freezer are stocked, too. I
t feels a little strange to see my old place with a new resident. I hope Trey enjoys it as much as I did.
Date: July 29, 2010Location: TargetTuscaloosa, ALThe BundleWho has a land line anymore? I will tell you who. We do, and we didn't even have a phone! Let me tell you why we've gone back in time. Our cable and internet service is with Comcast. They offer a "Bundle" that includes cable with five movie channels, internet, and "digital voice" for a price that is less expensive than what we were previously paying for just cable with one movie channel and internet. So now, you can look us up in the phone book. I doubt we answer, as we still haven't plugged the phone into the jack. Two awesome features are the caller ID on the TV and the online voice mailbox. I check the call log on the Comcast App for iPhone on occasion. We've already received our fair share of solicitation calls.

I've shopped at Wal-Mart for as long as I can remember. Over the last couple of years, I consistently despised my shopping experience in the mega store. I would always say that I hated to go there but would find myself there again the next week, fighting my way through the isles and checkout lines.
In November 2009, I made my last trip to Wal-Mart. Justin and I decided we would not go, even though the prices are better. Now we shop at this Food World. It's great; the employees are happy and helpful and I have gotten to know a few of the cashiers. I do spend about fifteen dollars more a week, but it's worth the satisfaction of saying I haven't shopped at the other store for eight months.

Not too bad for work clothes, huh?
