It's official: I'm hooked. The whole Twilight phenomenon baffled me at first, now I can't get enough of it. I love the books, the movies.
I am (not so) patiently waiting to finish the books and watch the last two movies. I am very glad my coworker is letting me borrow all her books!

Although he's harsh and abrasive, you can't help but love him. This is Dr. House, played by British actor Hugh Laurie. House and his team work with special diagnosis; they almost always let their patient die before House's "ah-ha" moment in which he finally finds the answer.He is terribly blunt; therefore, he has no bedside manner. His social interactions suffer because of this as well. With his team's help, House is able to diagnose the toughest cases, yet they are unable to diagnose him.

You wanna be on top? Reality TV has become really popular. And somehow I got sucked in.
Those who know me well are surprised I like shows such as America's Next Top Model, Teen Mom, and Project Runway. Honestly, it surprises me, too.Regardless, I watch week after week, hoping my favorites don't go home. This season on ANTM, I had an instant favorite: Kendal from Northport, AL!!! I was attending a party at Steph's with a few of her friends. She wanted to show off the new place and her new purchases. She also had a "guest speaker" to teach us a thing or two.

My iPhone is awesome. Words, as I call it, is my new favorite app for the moment. My dad and step mom laugh at Justin and me because we "sit in the same room on our phones to play games together." And because "they didn't do that at our age."Well, of course they didn't. When they were our age they had two options: the car phone (you know, in the bag) or the cellular phone that didn't have the ability to store contacts or numbers. I've showcased a lot of TV shows in this blog, but somehow haven't mentioned that my all time fav right now is The Office. (Steve Carell, why do you want to leave??)As it heads into its seventh season, my grandparents have just started to watch reruns of the first seasons. And they love it! So when Big Mama saw this card, she just had to get it for Justin's birthday (tomorrow!!). It's great and is now covering up that chore list I once swore by.

Inception
Another Sunday in the heat for work; however, this day was not as hot. While standing under the tent, talking and mostly listening to spoiled college kids, I overheard a conversation about Inception. Most of them had seen it already but one had not. So there were no spoilers. The more they talked, the more I wanted to see it.
I sent a text to Justin and asked him to take me on a date for the matinee showing. I liked it. The visual effects were great. But after reading all the comments from my Facebook friends and hearing the guys talk earlier in the day, I was a little tiny bit disappointed. I think my expectations were too high; I expected to have my mind blown.My Disclaimer: I had a very vivid imagination as a kid. I actually really thought and believed that my life was simply a book that another person was reading. I "rationalized" that the reason I slept was that the reader put the book down to go about his/her own life. There were many more details in my book theory. So maybe Inception was just not out there enough for me.

Everyone needs a place to hang out, relax, and call their own place. Ours is Wilhagan's. Justin and his coworkers favor it because there is entertainment and great food. Seriously, this place has the best chicken fingers. I can't wait to go back. If you join their birthday club, they send a birthday coupon for a free appetizer, meal, and dessert the month of your birthday. And the hubby's is later this month. I definitely see a trip to "the pool hall" in my near future.

Hopefully, it will give me something to do during vacation. I always think that books are better than the movie; however, I usually read the book then watch the movie. Twilight, don't let me down!
Date: July 14, 2010Location: Hollywood 16 TheaterTuscaloosa, ALA Night at the Movies!I swore I wouldn't do it. I just knew I would hate it! I knew I did not enjoy vampires, sci-fi, etc. Of all people, my dad convinced me to watch Twilight. He told me to watch just the first 20 minutes and if I didn't care to see the end of the movie, that would be it. I could turn it off and be done. As it goes, I was HOOKED and confused. I couldn't explain my attraction to the characters, or why I am on Team Edward. But I love it! Elisha and I saw Eclipse one day after work. It was great! She said it was most like the book. I still haven't read the books, but I can't wait to start.
